First something on personal notes.
As you may know, I have a routine for my January 1st that I have been doing for many years now.
I start by going for a long walk and meditate into the coming year.
When I´m back home I, of course, start by getting myself a good cup of coffee.
Then I go through an exercise where I choose my word for the year. A word that I use to help me make decisions throughout the year. In the past years these words have been Courage, Play and more. For the year of 2019 I chose (after going through the exercise) the word Maximize.
I will use this word to help me fuel my upward spiral. To stop my limiting beliefs. To help me make the most out of my capabilities, skills, opportunities etc. To not only dream but to deliver.
To feel energized and ready to make the most out of this year.
Then, after choosing the word for the year, I make my vision board for the year.
While working on that I think about what came to me during my meditation work and the word I chose. I also think about different areas of my life. Like my career, finances, health, relationships and more. And how I´m going to practice strong Self-Leadership to be, do and have everything that I want in work and life.

HR trends of 2019
Being an experienced HR Leader, and a speaker, I have been looking into HR trends for 2019. Reading quite a lot about what academics and gurus are saying about HR trends in 2019. And what is changing in the work environment, what future of work will look like.
This is very relevant for me since most of the presentations I give as a speaker are on HR. And also on various inspirational topics, like 360° Success and Self-Leadership. Mostly for employees and volunteers at various organizations.
My first presentation this year will be for The Association of HR folks in Iceland. Using my word maximize, I´m working on a killer presentation for them. Where I plan to inspire them to do refuel themselves with new ideas to do their best in HR this year. Looking forward to it!
