Recently I have talked to you about dreams, vision and intention and I hope you are keeping your sharp focus on those things.
To be a little bit more practical regarding these things having a list or lists can be helpful.
Helpful in a sense of maintaining focus and keeping track of how well I´m doing with what´s on the list or lists.
I am going to tell you about two of my lists.
I have a list of things I want to do before I get too old to do those things, my Bucket-list as I call it.
I also have a list of the things that I want to have or do in my life on a regular basis, my Living-list as I call it.
One of the things that used to be on my Bucket-list was going for a helicopter-ride but after an awesome “girl-power”-trip last weekend with about 50 Icelandic, awesome and powerful ladies I can mark that off my list, yay, that was a lot of fun.
But I still have quite a lot on that list so I still have a lot of things to look forward to.
On my Bucket-list I have both things that have to do with my private and my professional life.
What is on your Bucket-list and how are you doing with it?
I also have a list of the things that I want to have or do in my life on a regular basis.
These are things that make my life more meaningful, more fun and give me energy to be better and stronger in both my private and professional life.
Few of the things on that list are:
- Have good home-made dinners for my whole family, including my sons that have flown from my nest, and their spouses, at least once a month
- Meet with my extended family on a regular basis
- Meet with friends as often as I can
- Celebrate as often as I can, for whatever reason
- Take good care of me physically and mentally
- Take good care of my appearance
- Make my home cozy and nice
- Laugh a lot
- Sing and dance whenever I can
Last week I did all of this.
I celebrated my birthday last Saturday (yeah, just turned 42) by having my family over for dinner.
I met with 5 (out of 12) of my brothers and sisters on Thursday night where we were just chatting and having a good time.
My parents came over and I also met with my extended family to celebrate the birthday of my grandmother, she would have turned 100 years old yesterday if she were still alive, but she passed away in 2001.
I had my hair done, did my nails, bought me some clothes, bought a bright red reindeer-head-hook for my bathroom, did quite a lot of walking and sang, danced and laughed a lot, especially during the “girl-power”-trip I mentioned earlier.
What is on your Living-list and how much of it did you do in the last week?
Now for your assignment for this week:
Please write down what you want to have accomplished before next Tuesday, before the end of next month and before the end of the year – or some other deadlines you choose.
You will be 70 years old before you know it so stop waiting for the right moment, do right now whatever it is that you want to do!
I have blogged before where I talked about the “Bucket-list” movie and my thoughts on it, please check it out and other blogs here at my website.
