The importance of high energy level
Do you have a memory of a time where you felt you couldn´t really do anything?
– Just doing the bare minimum every day was more than enough.
Do you have a memory of a time where you felt you were on the top of the world?
The difference lies in your level of energy.
Lucky you – because you can control your level of energy.
You can reboot, renew and refuel your energy whenever you need.
What to do if your energy level is low
If you have been following me for a while now, you know that I define environment as one of the success-factors, or as one aspect of 360° Success.
Environment is a lot of things.
In macro-sense it is how you are treating the Earth. In that context there are many things you should be thinking about in that context, both at home and at work.
Mainly it is about you reusing, reducing and recycling as much as you can.
Think also about what you put away from you, or how you nourish your environment.
And also how environmentally choices you are making when nourishing yourself, in every way.
In micro-sense it is your near environment. How you set up and treat your environment at home and at work. And not the least how you treat yourself, you being part of your environment.
When was the last time you treated yourself? Took extra good care of yourself and did something to make you feel better about yourself? This is important to do, and have quite high on your list of priorities. The better you feel about yourself, the stronger self-image you have. This again leads to stronger self-confidence and that is a key to the Success you are aiming for.
And this becomes especially important if your energy level is low. It may be low because you have been neglecting yourself, your body, your mind, your social needs and more.
I don´t know where you are right now, reading this message of mine, but if you are in the position right now to stop what you are doing then please:
- Look around you, whether at home or in your office. What can you do about this environment? How can you elevate it, to make it support you and your needs better, to make you feel more energized, to make you feel more Successful? This can mean a lot of things, just some tidying up, decluttering, get a new cup with an inspiring quote or a complete renovation.
- What about yourself? How is your physical condition? Does your appearance (your apparel, your hair, your nails, your teeth….) give away the image you want others to see when they meet you? I´m not saying that there is one standardized image that everybody should fit. What I´m saying is that the way you take care of yourself gives a certain message about you.
- Think about what activity you can add to, or remove from your daily habits to make you feel more energized and better about yourself. If you feel tired, drained and without energy that is how others see you as well. That might be preventing you from getting new opportunities, at work and in your life. Take up some daily habits that boost your energy. You could take up daily walks. Play your favorite music, when at home, and sing and dance along with it. Schedule a recurrent time to meet with good friends. Take up a hobby you have always wanted to. Watch a comedy, maybe once a week, and laugh until your stomach hurts. You know yourself best, just make sure to do something you like doing, is good for you and you know will boost your energy.
Now there is nothing to wait for, make some decisions for your own good, turn them into actions by scheduling time for them and then go!
