Several times I have talked about the importance for you to have a clear vision for yourself, where you want to go and what you want to get out of your life, both in your private and professional life.
Now I want to push you a little and ask you if you really have the guts and what it takes to go to the place you see in your vision.
Getting to that place demands many things of you, courage and resilience not being the last of them, and will my thoughts today be on those two.
I want to start with explaining what I mean by courage here. Today when I talk about courage I´m referring to you daring to believe in yourself, your dreams and your vision, no matter what others might think of it. And here I take for granted that your dreams and vision is something worth reaching for you.
But you don´t only need courage to stand by yourself against what others may think.
You need the courage because working on your dreams and vision demands of you that you dare make some changes. Your dreams and vision will not come to reality if you are going to do and keep everything the same in your life, unless it has already come true in your life.
Look at your thoughts and patterns you may be holding onto but are only serving you in a way of holding you down or nourishing your fear of changes so that you neither let you enjoy the present nor prepare you for the future you want for yourself.
You might need to change jobs, make some changes in your circle of friends and acquaintances, look at your relations with your family and relatives, change your daily habits and routines and more.
Because as you know: If you are going to keep on doing the same things as you always do, at the best you get what you have always gotten.
Resilience (endurance or strength if you don´t know the word) is something you at times might need double portion of. So many times it is just easier to keep on having everything the same, but as you know that may not be the best for you or what you want.
If you manage to work on your courage, stretch yourself a little every day, get yourself out of the old tracks and turn off your negative thoughts and fear, then “every day” is very important.
Not everything will go as you wish or at the speed you want and then the resilience, or endurance, is a key thing – DON´T give up.
Don´t settle for anything less than you are capable of.
If you have for a long time been at the place you are at now – and you have maybe for a long time wanted to make some changes then it is most likely not going to happen overnight.
Keep going, always, even though you may feel that at times you are taking more steps backwards than forward, and don´t stop until you have managed to become and be the best you can be!
